The Saint Louis Cycling Club

The St. Louis Cycling Club is cycling club that hosts two non-competitive clubs and one racing team. If you are interested in our racing team or in our riding club, we'd love to have you join us as an active member of the oldest continuously running cycling club in the country.

The Saint Louis Cycling Club represents all cycling disciplines, with the focus being to grow the entire cycling community in St. Louis. As a Club, our strength is fortified directly by the volume of our membership.  Our voices are stronger with the addition of each and every member.  Our ability to speak on behalf of all cyclists is at the very core of our mission, and ultimately, we can’t do any of this without you.   If you love cycling, and you love St. Louis, then we want to hear your voice, we want to share your voice, and want you to help share our voice.  We’d like to personally invite you to join our Club.

You may be asking yourself, what does it mean to join the Club, and what do I get out of it.  Those are great questions, and hopefully we can answer all of those in the next few paragraphs.  Perhaps the single greatest reason for joining the Club is that by joining you are supporting a dream, in fact, you are supporting many dreams.  Many of our cyclists have dreams that go beyond the St. Louis Cycling Club, and we want to support them with those dreams.  Our sponsors have dreams of growing their businesses, and participating within their own communities, and we want to support them in their dreams.  Lastly, the Club has dreams of its’ very own, our dream is to play a role in your success, and continue to be the oldest continuously running cycling club in the country for another 133 years, and we can’t do any of that without you.

By joining you will strengthen the power of our voice as cyclists.  We can use your membership and your voice to advocate for better cycling infrastructure and support from our towns and our city.  With your membership we can present a united group of cyclists that all advocate for one another and that are committed to getting more people on bikes, and creating better cycling infrastructure within our communities.

By joining, you will immediately find yourself with like-minded individuals and with like-minded goals.  They say that it takes a village to raise a child, and in very much the same way it takes a community to develop great cyclists.  Our club structure provides mentorship from the top all the way down to the beginner.  There is no greater joy than sharing the knowledge that you have gained through the wonderful activity of cycling.  Our current membership has decades of experience and our club has over a hundred year history of creating champions, creating advocates, and creating great ambassadors for cycling.

Networking may seem like a trivial reason for joining a club, but shopping local, riding local, supporting local is perhaps one of the easiest things we can do to support our Club and our Sponsors.  Our sponsors are virtually all local and support us as a way to support local.  The most sincere way to thank them for their support is simply to support their businesses.

Another very compelling reason to join the club is for the Shop Support that we receive from Billy Goat Bicycle Company.  The shop support goes well beyond discounts on products.  On an individual basis we have been able to provide Event Support, Training Opportunities, Equipment Support, and Travel Opportunities to our Club Members.
